John E. Hull is uniquely qualified to reflect on the challenges of implementing an alternative vision of education. He was an avid curriculum writer throughout the nineteen-years he spent teaching in an alternative high school. He also co-authored a curriculum resource text for high school social studies. During his second career as a teacher educator, he helped design and launch innovative elementary and secondary teacher education programs. He was a founding member and former chair of the Association of Alberta Deans of Education. John and his wife Glenda live in Edmonton.
